Blue Butterfly
My latest Bodily Blessings column, Blue Butterfly, is up at Hope and Healing. This is one of my favorite pieces -- and most poignant hospital stories -- so I hope you'll take the time to read it.
Thanks for the link. I just read one of the 'cover' articles on Alzheimers disease and spirituality. Wow! There is no sacramental ministry available for my mother at her nursing home but having read the article, I'm going to call a local church to arrange this for her. What a blessing to find that article. P.S. I liked your butterfly article a lot.
Former English professor, changing careers to go into social work. SF/fantasy writer. Episcopalian. Licensed lay preacher. Hospital volunteer offering spiritual care in the ER. Spinner, weaver, knitter.
And a few other things, less easily labeled. The title of this blog is a phrase John Clute used to describe the plots of my first two novels. It both amused and annoyed me, and I finally decided to reclaim it as a badge of honor. Would you prefer rickety contrivances of doing bad?
